Wood Type Collage Broadside

This 8"x10" broadside is printed letterpress using my collection of wood type in three colors on thick ecru rag paper. The colors are chocolate brown, green and red. This is a limited edition of 17, with each broadside numbered on the back. Each print is slightly different, due to anomalies in inking.

The broadside fits is a standard frame. Sent in a flat no-bend cardboard envelope with a protective plastic sleeve.

Many artists have used wood type to make prints. One example is Jack Stauffacher. He's well known here in San Francisco as a letterpress printer and book designer, but he also made a series of abstract wood-type prints.
