Framed

A Madness Well Restrained in a frame
I’m always interested to see how people have framed my letterpress broadsides. This photo of “A Madness Well Restrained” is from Holli Conger, the Type Junkie (she also has a store on Etsy where she sells great typography-themed photography). You can see more examples of framed broadsides here.

  1. Hi Susan,

I just wanted to tell you that I love all of your work, but I really like this and “Secret Sky” in particular!

I had read on your Etsy site about the Hamilton Wood Type museum in Wisconsin – well, I live only 55 miles away from Two Rivers, where it’s located, and I had never heard about it – until you!

So I took a trip there today, and OMG!!!! If you ever get to our neck of the woods you MUST check it out. Not only do you get a history of Hamilton Mfg but there are over TWO MILLION wood blocks there. We were there for two hours, and the tour was great!

Just thought you’d like to know. 🙂

    Thanks!

  2. I’ve worked in a frame shop for years (also typesetter from way back) so it is with some degree of knowledge that I say, “very nicely done.”
