One thing they don’t mention is how much card playing grew after the invention of the printing press, which made it easier to produce the decks. |
A point of discussion in many circles. I believe, perhaps wrongly, that there were many printing presses printing playing cards prior to 1448-52. Gutenberg’s invention was not the printing press, but movable, reusable, type.
